"We can talk. But first, I need to settle this person…"
Carla choked Selena's throat forcefully while glaring at her viciously. Like a furious lioness, she exuded a murderous and hostile aura.
She was exerting so much force that Selena almost suffocated.
Everyone was stunned.
They had never expected Carla, who used to be so weak and gentle, to become so powerful!
It was as if she was a completely different person…
"What are you doing? Let go of her!"
Layon stepped forward to stop Carla, but Rogan shoved him away.
"Stop!" bellowed Jombo furiously. "How dare you cause trouble in the Giblo residence?"
"The Giblo residence?" Carla scoffed mockingly, "It's a place where evil deeds are concealed, where justice is buried!"
"You…"
Jombo was rendered speechless, for no one had rebuked him like that before.
"Let me tell you this…" Carla moved closer to Selena and growled through gritted teeth, "If you want to steal the man, I can't even be bothered with you. However, if you use my daughter to provoke me and
put up an act to disgust me, I won't tolerate your existence!"
With that, Carla exerted even more force, such that Selena could not bear it anymore.
"No…" Layon yelled out in a frenzy, "Mr. Giblo, save her!"
"Stop that woman!" Jombo instructed his subordinates.
Immediately, more than ten guns pointed at Carla.
"What are you doing?" Zayn stepped forward. "Put the guns down!"
However, as they were Jombo's subordinates, they did not listen to his instructions.
Rogan and the rest immediately raised their guns and aimed at Jombo.
She even yelled furiously, "If any of you dare to shoot Ms. Lierger, we'll drag Jombo down with us to our deathbed!"
"How outrageous! Simply too outrageous!"
Thompson was so furious that he trembled. The Lierger family is so lawless! How dare they try to attack Mr. Giblo?
"Stop right now!" Zayn rushed forward to stop Carla. "Stop kicking up a fuss, Carla. They'll actually shoot you!"
"What's wrong? Are you worried for me?" She shot him a resentful glare. "Zayn, I have nothing but contempt for you. You don't even care about the safety of your own family just for the sake of a woman!"
"I told you to stop precisely because I'm concerned for Venus's safety." Zayn started to panic. "We haven't found Dr. Feroma yet. If anything happens to Venus, we still need to rely on her. Please, for the sake
of our child, spare Selena!"
When Carla heard that, she froze for a moment. Yeah, Dr. Feroma isn't here yet and I didn't manage to invite Derelo. At least Selena can still save Venus for the time being…
If I kill her, I won't have any other options.
At that thought, Carla released her grip slowly.
"Ugh…"
Selena crumpled onto the floor. Clutching her throat, she kept retching.
"Selena…" Layon rushed forward and helped her up.
Meanwhile, the medical staff from the Benday family cowered at the side fearfully, not daring to approach her.
"Let me tell you this. If you dare to play any more tricks, I'll kill you immediately, " warned Carla hostilely.
"You've gone overboard!" yelled Layon agitatedly. "Mr. Giblo, Selena came to the Giblos' residence to save someone; yet, she's been so horribly abused here. You must seek justice for us!"
"Zayn!" Although Jombo was glaring at Carla, he instructed Zayn, "Chase this madwoman out."
"Grandpa…"
"If you don't do it, I'll order my subordinates to do it!" bellowed Jombo furiously. "This is the Giblo residence. Anyone from the Lierger family is not allowed to cause trouble here!"
Afterward, he clutched his chest and coughed profusely.
"Don't be agitated, Mr. Giblo." Thompson patted his back anxiously.
When Zayn saw him acting like that, he remembered what the doctor said about Jombo's days being numbered. With his resolve wavering after seeing his grandfather's condition, he turned around and glanced at Carla.
However, before he could say anything, Carla's sharp glare cut him off.
