Early the next morning, Nora took with her, documents she had prepared overnight with Chris, for the collaboration with the Axel Group.
When she got to the 100-story building, owned by the Axel Group, she grew scared.
Would it be possible for a company this big, to collaborate with Bromwick family? And worse of, the Bromwick family are looking forward to negotiate a 30million dollar contract.
This was a situation similar, to that of a beggar going to rich man's house and requesting for 30million dollars. It's simply preposterous.
But the fact remains that she promised Mrs. Bromwick, and agreed to the challenge publicly, so she couldn't back down now.
On seeing how tensed she looked, Chris began to caress her hair, "it's okay dear, you'll make it, I believe in you", he said to Nora.
Nora inadvertently sighed softly in worry, "Okay, please wait here for me", she said, took a deep breath and summoned enough courage to walk to the door of the Axel Group.
Chris watched her go in, when he discovered she was gone, he brought out his phone and called Stella.
"Hey Stella, my wife is on her way to see you, the rest is up to you, I believe you know what to do!", Chris said, "yes Mr Arthur, don't worry, I'll make sure you are pleased", she said.
"Oh and also, I heard the Axel Group we're also in collaboration with the Miller family, how true is that?", Chris asked.
"Yes sir, we've done a lot of project before now, some are even on as we speak. They also submitted a proposal and application materials to participate in this new megaproject. But the decision of letting them in or not is up you sir", Stella replied.
"I do not want to see the Miller family participating in the new project or any others in the future!", Chris replied coldly.
"Understand sir, consider it done!", Stella said.
Meanwhile, Nora was still waiting at the reception, to be called upon for her interview at the front desk. She had no clue as to how the vice-chairman of the Axel Group will treat her, will she even see her.
Shortly after, a female walked up to her gracefully, "Hi, you are Miss Nora Bromwick, is that right? Miss young would like to have you in her office", she said to Nora.
Nora nodded as thought she was hypnotized. She was bewildered for she hasn't made an appointment, so how did Mrs. Young know she was here, and is already calling her?
Could Miss Young have known that she was coming?
It didn't add up at all, how could a person of Miss Stella Young know about her?
Although she was still clueless, but it was an opportunity, which ever way it happened she had to make use of it. And so she quickly followed the assistant and was escorted to the vice-chairman's office.
On seeing her, Stella got up from the Chair and greeted respectfully, "Hi, Miss Bromwick, my name is Stella Young the vice-chairman of the Axel Group, it's a pleasure to meet you", Stella spoke.
Nora on the other hand was quite nervous, standing before the notorious Stella Young, the business superwoman in the Hillsprings.
"Hello, Miss young, I am here to talk to you about the Axel Group's current hotel project. Even though the Bromwick Group may not be as strong as other companies, I assure you that we are going to put in our best efforts into the work, and as a result will certainly come out fine. So
fine it will create a good reputation in the design and decoration industry!", Nora replied as her voice trembled in anxiousness.
She Miss Stella Young a file, "Miss young, in that file holds the Bromwick Group portfolio, please take a look", she said.
Stella gave a warm smile as she collected the file, she quickly glanced through.
"Miss Bromwick, I have gone throughout your file, and have concluded that you are fit to partner with the Axel Group", Stella replied.
"Are you serious?", Nora asked wildered. How come? Why so quickly and smooth? It seemed a bit too simple.
"Absolutely, it is true that the Bromwick family did not meet all our requirements, but the new chairman is quite optimistic about you and has decided to give the partnership a shot", Stella replied.
"The new chairman?", Nora said still in shock, "may I know who he is?", Nora added.
"Our new chairman goes by the name Mr Arthur, he is From the Arthur family of the Cliffspring", he replied.
"Mr Arthur?", Nora said as she frowned confused, "I don't seem to know anyone by that last name, aside my husband", Nora replied.
Stella gently nodded, Chris had instructed her not to tell reveal his identity to anyone, so she couldn't say more.
Aside from Chris Arthur, Nora knew no other, who beared Arthur as a last name, but she would never have thought that her useless husband, Chris, was the Mr. Arthur miss yong was talking about.
"Miss Bromwick, it is stated in your proposal that, 30 million dollars is what you need, to work with us", Stella said.
Nora anxiously nodded, "is it too much?", Nora asked timidly.
Stella smiled, "Oh no, it's isn't, it's actually less than our what was budgeted", Stella replied.
Nora became more bewildered, "What do you mean?", She hurriedly asked.
"Mr. Arthur asked us to increase the cooperation share to 60 million dollars", Stella explained.
While they talked, Stella pulled out a contract and gave it to Nora, "take a look, the contract has been drafted in advance for a total of 60 million dollars. If you want, we can sign it right now", Stella further explained.
"Huh? This....", Nora exclaimed dumbfounded.
She never would have guessed that Axel Group, which appeared unaccessible to the Bromwick family, even in their imagination, would prepare the contract in advance.
And now, the proposed amount has been doubled!
Grandma, Mrs. Bromwick's goal was 30 million dollars, but here in the contract, it is stated 60million dollars.
She suddenly remembered how Chris made her to talk during the meeting, which lead to her taking up the challenge.
Why was he that confident?
And when they were at the Axel Group's entrance, she was undoubtedly pessimistic, but Chris was confident and optimistic.
