Lan Yuma felt like his luck ran out, "wasn't that your father-in-law?", he asked.
Chris replied with a nod. "That's right, he is my father-in-law and not me. He destroyed the vase not me, so find him and let him pay for what he destroyed!", Chris replied.
Lan Yuma was damn provoked, but he knew that what Chris said was correct.
But he needed to be compensated for the destroyed vase, else the Jintang would be ruined.
"You guys, quickly, go get that old man!", He said to some guys around.
Chris watched in amusement as they chased his father-in-law. He laughed and uttered no words.
He could have actually just swiped his card, but that would too easy for his shameless old father-in-law. Instead it's best for him to pay and learn from his mistake.
All in the Jintang ran out to get his father-in-law, Davis. Chris stood alone as he observed the broken bottle.
The half a meter high vase, had shattered into 2 halves and some fragments, but looking closely, he saw something seemingly hidden at the bottom of the vase.
He quickly reached in and brought out a wooden box, who would have thought there was such a thing inside the vase.
The vase had a small mouth, but the wooden box inside was twice or thrice the size of the mouth. It was obviously not put in after the production of the vase, but before.
In that case, the wooden box was put in there by the producers, the white dynasty.
He carefully observed the little box in his hand, and with just a little force, he opened the box.
Opening the box, a sweet smelling fragrance escaped. Just a little sniff of it, got Chris refreshed.
When Chris looked inside the box, he saw a small old book, so small his palm was bigger.
Chris opened this pocket sized book, and in it were 4 ancient characters written on the title page.
"There's something quite interesting about this name, I can't quite figure it out", Chris said as he went ahead to open it.
On the first page was a medical technique, which had the record of a large number of cases and their treatment methods.
On seeing this, Chris frowned slightly. He knew a bit about traditional medicine and had in knowledge, some basic theories of traditional medicine. However, the content of this book were obviously way better thant the ones he knew and even the ones currently used.
Some of these methods have not been heard of. After merely going through, Chris saw some medical techniques beyond the grasp of the real world even.
Chris gained interest in the book, he sat on the floor and continued reading.
To his surprise, the book also held content of well known fortune telling techniques, and other magical techniques for doing things; some includes: inspection of treasure, restoration and addition to many other strange things.
Chris took his time to look into the book, noticing every page had a deep and fascinating meaning. As he read his heart was excited, this was truly a treasure.
To be continued....
