"Open your eyes Katie!", the voice grew more angry.
"Kareen please!", I yelled.
"I am not Kareen!", the voice yelled and the sound of shattering glass was heard.
"Katie!", I heard a knock on the door.
"What's going on?!", the voice re-resonated.
"Mom!", I blurted out as I opened my eyes.
When I opened my eyes, the presence had suddenly disappeared, my phone had stopped playing the strange song.
I gently turned around to look at my back, there was no one there.
I quickly crawled to the edge of the bed and looked at the ground still partially covered with water.
"Sweetie what's happening in there? Please open the door!", mom said on.
"I can't! It is locked from outside.", I replied.
"Really!", mom said seemingly realizing as the door opened.
"Katie!", she said shocked to see the room in such a mess.
"How did this happen!", she asked.
"It was a ghost!", I replied.
"A ghost?!", she asked in a sarcastic manner.
"Yes! A ghost! It knew my name!", I replied.
"Katie! You are 18 now, why don't you stop acting like Kareen!", mom replied.
"Mom you have to believe, I could feel it's presence!", I said aloud.
"Why are you still on your bed, and on a towel!", she further asked as she walked closer.
"There's water on the ground!", I said in an alarming manner, as I waved my hands forward, ushering mom to move away; after suddenly remembering that mom wasn't supposed to walk in like that, else she might get electrocuted.
"What are you talking about?", mom asked as she looked at the ground.
Seeing mom's expression, I got annoyed and blurted out: "Can't you see the...."
It was gone, not even a trace of water was on the floor.
I gently put my foot on the floor and stood.
"Katie, are you sure you are okay", mom said as she walked closer where I was, putting a hand on my neck.
I said nothing still bewildered.
What just happened.
"Come with me!", I said as I puiled mom by my wrist to the bathroom where the tap broke.
"See!", I said pointing at the tap.
One which was surprisingly now fixed.
"What am I looking at?", mom asked looking at me in a wierd away.
"Oh my God! I swear it was broken a second ago!", I said as I ran my hand through my hair.
"It looks fine to me!", mom said staring at me like I was a mental patient.
"Okay! Okay! Look, the ground is wet!", I replied.
Mom looked at the bathroom floor and then me, then said: "Katie, what do you want me to do?"
She immediately took out her phone and said dramatically: "Hello! Yes, please, I need help, send your finest, there's a huge trouble! My daughter's bathroom floor is wet!"
As soon as her sentence ended, I immediately realized how stupid I sounded.
But I know I am not imagining things, everything I said did happen.
I quickly rushed out and went straight to the window, where I heard the glass shatter.
And opened the curtains.
It was perfectly fine, just the way I shut it.
"Sweetie", mom called as she looked at me in a pity full manner.
"Please come sit next to mommy.", she said as she sat on my bed.
I stared at her for awhile, looked around briefly, walked to where she was and sat down.
"There's a thing called dreams.", she replied, "and It happens when we sleep.", she added.
As soon as I heard this, I became annoyed.
Does mom want to lecture me about dreams? I f_cking know what I saw!
However, I remained quiet, and listened.
"Sometimes our dreams may appear so real that we might actually think they are, and subconsciously live with them at the back of our minds as though they really happened.", she further spoke.
I know what I saw.....
I continued looking around and started getting a little bit convinced. Could she be right? Did I dream about everything I think happened just now.
Looking around, I was seeing no sign of what just happened, but I still couldn't get a hold of myself. I was still a bit scared.
"Where were you guys?", I asked.
"We went to see Mrs. Bell.", mom replied.
"Mrs. Bell?", I asked looking at her as my heart skipped several beats as soon as my brain calculated and reported back to me that Mrs. Bell was Jimmy's mom.
"Yes, Mrs. Bell.", mom said as she stared blankly in the air.
"What's wrong?", I asked noticing her expression.
"She was involved in a very fatal accident as soon as she left here last night. She and Jimmy!", mom explained.
"Jimmy? What happened to Jimmy?", I asked immediately.
"He's surprisingly okay, the doctors said they didn't see a scratch on him, even though he and his mom were in the same car and was sitted next to each other.", she added.
Exhaled heavily and added: "Aside her and the taxi she boarded, everyone else was fine, even the driver."
How's that possible? A fatal accident not leaving a scratch on everyone but one, having a fatal injury.
This feels way beyond coincidence.
What's really happening?
To be continued.....
