As he thought about it, he suddenly had a brilliant idea.
So he drove it to a car repair shop and requested that the BMW 760's logo be changed for a BMW 520's, he spent just 20 dollars and it was done.
A BMW 760 having a BMW 520's logo, looks quite believable. The only outstanding difference is the car's interior. It's quite hard to spot the difference from outside the car.
The 520 is actually the lowest in the 5 series, its power, control and all other aspects were average.
While the 760 is the highest in the 7 series, it's extremely powerful, its control and other aspects are exceptional.
Chris decided to take the 760, which had the 520's logo to Nora, knowing fully well that she knew little about cars. So if he tells her that it was a 520, she wouldn't even know.
While owner of the car repair shop carried out Chris's request, he couldn't help but think in his heart, why a honest looking man like Chris would want to do such a thing. His intentions must be to hide amongst the sheeps even though he truly was a wolf.
When he was done with this, he remembered Griffin's restaurant was going to be opened on that day by noon, and so he decided to get him a gift.
When he remembered how out of all his colleagues, Griffin was the only one who treated him well, he decided to go to a huge consignment shop where literature and arts were sold.
He purchased an ancient painting, painted by King Dina worthing 200 thousand.
King Dina is not so famous, and so not many people know his works.
He bought such an expensive but old painting for Griffin because he felt that Griffin deserved something worth alot, but then he didn't want people to know the worth of the painting.
If someone were to ask, he could easily shrug off the question by replying "a couple of thousands!"
When Chris was done buying the painting, he looked at the time, it was almost noon. He called Nora and let her know that he was going to pick her and Tesla up from the Axel Group.
When they got out, they saw Chris in the BMW 520.
She looked at Chris and was speechless.
"Where did you get this car?", She finally asked.
"I got it for you!", Chris replied with a smile.
"You bought it?", Nora asked growing more surprised.
"Where did you get the money to get such?", She asked.
"The money is mine!", Chris replied.
"Come on Nora, I have stayed in the Bromwick family for a long time now, not spending a dime on anything. I am fed and clothed by them, why shouldn't I be able to save up something this much?", he added.
"You saved so much why not keep it to yourself? Why buy such an expensive car? This should cost nothing less than 400 thousand!", Nora said as she looked at it.
"Nora, you are my wife! If I dont spend my money on you who else should I spend my money on? And besides, you are now the director of the Bromwick group, it's not nice for you not to have a car, you will be laughed at!", Chris added.
"Nora, Chris is right, you do need a business car, and this car looks perfect for you! Chris cares about you, you should be glad!", Tesla adviced.
On hearing this, Nora had no choice but to accept, she nodded and said, "Thank you so much Chris!"
Chris shook his head lightly, "why are you so polite with your husband?", he asked, and without waiting for he reply, he greeted them and asked them to hop in, so he drives them to Griffin's hotel.
Without wasting time Nora hurriedly said, "Hope you got Griffin a gift."
"Yeah I did, I got him a painting!" Chris replied.
"A painting? What painting?", Nora curiously asked.
"It's an old painting I got from Antique street. I think it's a pomegranate, which signifies more riches, wealth and fortune. I found it amusing and purchased it.
"And how much did it cost?", Nora asked immediately.
"A couple of thousands!", Chris replied.
Nora began to laugh, "It seems you've been cheated, no real ancient painting can be bought at a couple of thousands!", she added laughing.
Chris smiled back, "it really doesn't matter, what counts is the heart it came from", Chris added.
On hearing this, Nora nodded in agreement, "you really are right, what matters is love. Let's head to his hotel then!", Nora said.
