Seeing this, Kayla's heart had began to drum.
She didn't plan to take any chances at this time. Her instinct to survive was far greater than herself control.
Afterall Clark was the one that ratted himself out.
She quickly pulled Claire and had already taken a few steps when she heard: "where have you been?!" in an exciting tone.
She subconsciously turned back and saw the huge guard hugging Clark.
"I thought you were dead!", He added.
Clark quickly pinched the guard a bit and pulled himself.
With a mere look and a hush, the guard understood.
He looked around for a bit and let Clark in.
"What's the matter?", He looked at Clark noticing that was he was going in even after giving him the room to.
Clark turned to Kayla and gestured she came over.
She walked towards him slowly, still obviously afraid and they were let in.
"Hey are you letting them in?!", Somebody suddenly roared.
At this time, Clark and Kayla had already made their way through.
"He's a guard!", The huge guard replied coldly.
"That's a lie! He probably slipped a few coins in your pocket!", The guy said looking at some others.
Soon there was a gang of persons allying with the man's conception.
"Money always blinds people's eyes, how can you say that man veiling his entire family is a guard?!"
"The rich always makes the poor look dumb!"
"We are not going to sir idle and watch cheat on us to our face!"
Those standing near the gate began to protest. This time they majority of them had decided to go in forcefully.
……
Meanwhile in the ring, the Precillians had began to toss their knife towards the board with painted circles.
At close range none of them missed the target.
The boards were slightly shifted and the tossing continued.
Yet no miss was counted.
Finally they shifted the board further back and asked them to toss.
And yet there were no misses.
Soon, the boards were placed in angled manner; about 30degrees.
Misses at this time were still not encountered.
60, 75 and then 90 the boards were arranged.
Only then did they get their first miss.
A young girl who was sweating profusely. With that, she was taken out the ring.
115, 145, and then another fail was recorded, leaving 3 persons in the ring.
Finally, 180.
At this time the knife had to spin and be stambed on a circle at the back of the board.
Phew, it went through air and instead of spinning it flew else where.
Puff!
Through someone's head in the crowd.
"Ahhhhh!!!", Those around him began to scream.
Who would have thought a precision master would throw the knife in such a way.
As soon as the thrower saw this his body froze. For a moment, no one even paid attention to him.
This rarely occured afterall.
The last death from the matches recorded was about 5 matches ago, during a Sticilian battle where rocks flew off the ring killing several persons.
But no one saw this one coming.
Before the thrower could recover, he was taken away immediately.
Leaving just 2 persons in the ring.
The area where the man was killed was cleared immediately by some Quailian officials immediately.
Those who previously occupied that part, stood aside, on the left and right sides.
Afraid of another of such occurrence.
……
Meanwhile Miguel and Mercury were on a horse riding towards the Apical battle.
"I could have sworn that these guys were confronted by an old man when we were at Helilia!", Miguel added as he continued riding on his horse.
"Helilia?!", Mercury exclaimed as he threw a glance at Miguel.
"Yes! We met this healer who displayed shocking abilities!", Miguel explained.
"What did you need a healer for? Were you that injured?!", Mercury asked disappointed.
"No! I went to confirm if Kayla's child is really mine!", Miguel replied.
"Oh, what result did you get?!", Mercury asked.
"It's mine!", Miguel's expression was a bit solemn.
"Yeah!", Mercury replied.
"You knew?!", Miguel asked.
"I found out from Master Xenguy. Just before we were attacked I squeezed out some more info though. I saw the way he looked at Luca before saying what he did back at the meeting. He finally told me that Luca's imprints were on the girl!"
To be continued.....
