I drove around the city getting a bit familiar with the terrain and having a bit of understanding of how the people around behaved, their style of action.
I did this until I saw a shop whose billboard read: "Gamblers den" it's logo was a huge lion with cards in its mouth.
There were several bikes outside, some taxis and several bicycles.
From the looks of things, this is was were the poor resides and get more poor.
I parked in front of it, got down and walked in.
I walked in and looked around at bustling place, everyone was doing something; only a few sat by the bar chatting aloud.
Those who sat by the bar had tattoos on their bodies and although had several gold chains on their necks and wrists they were terribly dressed.
From mere observations, I could tell they were the ones in charge.
I walked towards the bar and sat a bit afar as I carefully observed the games.
"You're late!", One of the brawny men said as a young boy with a bag approached him.
"Sorry boss, our English teacher got me detention...", He explained to the man.
As the boy explained, the man stood up and was about to walk when someone ran up to him.
"Why are you here?!", The man asked looking at a game titled the math machine.
"They left sir!", The guy ran in reported.
"What!! When?!", He asked furiously.
"Just now...", the man who reported said with a fearful expression.
"Are you insane?! Can't you see Roger?! Why did you let him go?!!", The man yelled.
"I... I couldn't hold them anymore!", He added.
"So you lost everything?!", The man asked aggressively with his eyes widened.
The other knelt down and began to plead: "Brother Sam please... Please I tried my best... You know I barely went to school."
Boom!
The man's face was punched immediately.
He fell directly to the ground catching everyone's attention.
He immediately stood up and knelt back down crying as everyone watched in fear.
Brother Sam walked up to him, held his hair and said: "you all continue with your games this doesn't concern you!"
After speaking, he pulled the bleeding guy by his hair and threw him beside the counter.
"F_ck!", He yelled as he kicked the guy once again.
"You lost 5000 dollars just like that!!", He added with his face bitter.
As soon as everyone else heard this their expressions changed, especially the boy.
After this, Sam sat back on the stool and gestured the boy who had taken a few steps backward with his finger to come.
The boy stood hesitating to make a move.
"Roger.... Come!", Sam said calmly but with a serious expression.
Only then did the boy walk towards him.
As soon as the boy got close enough, the man placed his hand on the boy's shoulder and said: "boy, that English teacher's going to wish he was never born!"
As he spoke, the boy's legs began to shake slightly.
After speaking the man took the glass on the table and began to narrate: "A math professor and his friend came in and had been playing with the math machine since 10."
On hearing this, the boy's face became more ugly.
"He made quite alot of money from it and was appearing to be getting tired. it was 12 and I noticed you hadn't come in and quickly went over and offered to help him make some more money to buy time till you came...", The man added with a regretful expression.
"You know how terrible I am at math.... So I asked this idiot!", He added fiercely kicking the bleeding man on the floor.
After this he exhaled heavily and turned to the boy.
"You are going to make as much as you can for me before leaving!", Sam roared immediately after.
"Get him cash!", Sam added furiously.
"What's your English teacher's name?", He asked as a man walked away seemingly to get money.
"Ms. Biller!", He replied.
"Miss?", Sam said with a different expression as he looked at the boy.
"It's been a while since I dealt with a miss...", He added as he gently stroked the glass on the counter table.
"Brother Sam!", The guy went to get the called with a few dollar notes in his hands.
"This was all I could get...", He added with a sorry expression.
Sam collected and it looked at him.
"How much is this?", He asked.
"623...", He replied as he stepped back.
Swoosh.
Another fierce kick was giving to the guy on the floor.
"Here here here!!", Sam said handing the money to the boy with an irritated expression.
"You're not leaving here until 8!", He added.
When the boy heard this, his eyes subconsciously became moist.
"But... but my auntie..." He added.
"She'll have to go around looking for you for a while...", Sam added.
Suddenly, their expressions changed as they heard the sound of a key abruptly hitting the counter.
"Boy are you deliberately trying to get yourself killed?!", One of the men with Sam snorted.
"I overheard, you guys are having a money issue, and I couldn't help but wonder how much a little BMW is worth in the market...", I added as I walked over with my car's key.
