"..... has been an icon to all the women and some men in the town. Rumors have it that she is from a top wealthy family, but no one knows which one. She shows up out of now where from time to time and flaunts her wealth. As open as that sounds, no one has seen her face.", he explained.
"What?", I exclaimed surprised.
"Then why call her beau bae? I thought that name was from her beauty?", I added.
"Nah! In most of her appearance that's the name on display for all to see.", he explained as we got closer to Mistown bank.
"So no one has been able to trace her back to her house?", I asked.
"A few has tried. But none have succeeded. They all claim they got lost and usually appear very high when they come back. Some who were tested have been found to have been exposed to a drug just as powerful as cocaine", he further explained.
"And no charges have been pressed?", I asked.
"Even if charges were pressed, there is no solid evidence, although her doings are too real to be called a myth, but she hasn't really come out as real either!", He further explained.
At this time, the car had been put to a stop for over 5 minutes, the discussion just made me unwilling to get down.
"Thank you!", I said handing him 2 bucks.
"But?!", he said surprised to see the dollar bills.
"Think of it as a kind gesture from Beau Boy!", I said with a smile and got down from his cab.
I stood there gesturing a bye so he could take the psychological hint and go away instead of stay there and watch me.
He drove off with a warm smile.
It was some minutes past 3 as seen on the man's cab time.
I stood in front of the bank looking around for any sign of Mrs. Jane and the black car.
Just then it hit me, how humans, especially women and their emotions works. She's probably gone back in search of that toad, Benjamin.
Fuck!
"Her loss!", I said about to walk away, when I spotted the car driving towards the bank.
I stood there as she drove in front of me and finally came to a stop, bringing down the driver's car window.
"What happened?!", I asked quite surprised to see her.
"Nothing!", she replied.
My attention was suddenly caught by the wraps of snack bar littered all over the car.
"You finished it all?!", I exclaimed.
"Not quite!", she said with a wry smile as she brought out two from underneath the passenger's sit.
"I forgot to mention, I love snack bars!", she added handing me one.
I looked at it with a straight face and colleced one because I was damn hungry.
All I had left was 8 dollars and we have not place to sleep.
"Have any friends in the town?", I asked.
After a slight pause, she replied with a down expression: "My mom!"
"Then let's go!", I said as I walked towards the passenger's seat.
"I don't want to go!", She said nodding her head in a tantrum like manner.
"Why?!", I asked with a frown.
"We haven't been in the best of terms.", She replied.
"Well you finished the snack bars and we don't have money nor a place to stay!", I replied trying not to sound too angry.
"Fine!", she exhaled heavily and began to drive.
We had only drove a few metres when I saw my necklace on the neck of a school girl as she crossed the road.
"Stop the car!", I yelled.
And in shock she hit the break.
It was as though there was a break in my thinking and senses, which was restored back in a second seemingly because the girl had finished crossing the road.
I could hear another car running towards at a speed that it's break which had been stepped on wouldn't stop the collision.
