Chris stared at him and said in a cold manner, "Relatives, I have none, neither do I have a cause, nor done anything wrong to you; we never even had any grudges, but you choose to insult and make fun of me, now you plead for my help. Come on man, wake up, this ain't your bedroom."
On hearing this, Kelvin threw himself on the floor and began to wail louder, "Chris, I accept my faults, I was wrong, please show mercy!", He begged some more.
On noticing the stiff face of Chris who showed no sympathy what so ever, Overl Hong began to yell at his men, "are you guys out of your minds? Do you wish to die?! What stops you from carrying out my order?"
His guards were quite scared and so they hurriedly rushed to Kelvin White and grabbed his hair, twisting and turning.
They began to slap him, and in no time, Kelvin's mouth was full of blood and some broken teeth, but the guards refused to stop, each slap seemed harder than the last.
Overl Hong turned to Chris smiling, "Mr. Chris, does this please you?", he asked.
Chris reply with a nod, "it's okay, I have to leave", he added.
Overl Hong quickly brought out his business card and gave it to Chris, "Mr. Chris, this is my number, if you have any problem or anything at all in the future, please give me a call, I will be there as quick as possible", Overl Hong said respectfully.
Chris hummed a yes, and put Overl Hong's card in his pocket.
And then he turned to his mother-in-law Sarah "Mom it's getting later, let's go home", Chris said to her.
Even though Sarah was slapped a couple of times, she had gotten 700 thousand dollars after it all, so she closed her mouth gleefully. Chris who was full of pride showed came to her rescue, her son-in-law helped her.
Chris collected the money and took Sarah about to go away. The elders gathered before Chris, "Chris please, it was aunty who messed up, we didn't know you were this promising!", They said to him.
On hearing this, Chris frowned, "give me a reason to help you guys, don't you have children who are married to promising sons-in-law, why don't you call them instead", Chris said to them.
When they heard this, they gnashed their teeth regretting.
They took the blame to heart, there was no way now, the opportunity to recover their money back was completely lost.
As the thoughts played on in their heads, they began to slap their faces, some sat the floor crying to their late fathers and mothers! All hope was lost.
But they knew who was to blame. Their mouths had put them I. trouble, if only they had good sons-in-law like Chris.
As they went home, Sarah turned to Chris as she smiled, "Chris, when did you become friends with the 5th lord? Why was he so polite to you?", Sarah said to Chris.
On hearing his mother-in-law's question, Chris began to laugh, "how on earth could I possibly be friends with such a person? I just called a classmate of mine who knew him, and could talk to him to give back the money he collected", he explained to Sarah.
When Sarah heard Chris's explanation, she felt dissappointed. She thought Chris had gotten acquired an ability that she was unaware of, now to find out that he simply called for help.
And for that reason, the zealous feeling she felt died instantly.
But all the same, she had her money back and got an additional 700 thousand dollars, and even though Chris had asked for help, she was still pleased with him.
"Chris, I need you to promise mom something. Don't tell anyone about this okay, even though mom is old, she still needs to keep up a good reputation", she said to Chris.
Chris inadvertently smiled as he nodded his head in agreement to what she said.
