But then, Kim thought about how they became friends in the first place.

An amount of money was given to all the guards of Quaila.

Hogan's friend was in charge of distribution, and unfortunately at the time was in need of money so he gave out less than he was supposed to, in order to keep some for himself to take care of his needs. At the time, Kim's wife was sick and needed money to purchase some pills.

When the money came, he added it to what he had and it was still not enough to purchase the pill.

Hogan found Kim going around and begging other guards, and decided to find out what he needed 10 silver coins for, even after receiving the 30 that was distributed.

Kim in shock, wondered how Hogan was given 30. He explained his own pay and problem to Hogan.

When Hogan heard this Hogan was shocked and angry.

He found out after asking Kim about his past savings that his friend in charge of distribution had cheated the rest guards.

According to Kim's story, the pill needed for his wife's treatment pills was just 45 silver coins. What was given to Hogan was 30, but what was given to the rest, Kim included, was 25.

Even though he was given more, he was still very angry with his friend's attitude, he immediately went directly to Palmer's right hand man Mercury and explained to him.

After hearing this Mercury punished his friend doing the distribution openly by hanging and flogging him naked in Quaila's market center. After that, they left him there until his family members had the gutts to come loose him. He dared not come close to the main chambers.

It was also discovered that, the guards were supposed to receive 35 silver coins even, not even 30, but after stripping him and evading his room, they found quite alot more that they expected and decided to share 15 more silver coins for all the guards, this time lead by Hogan.

After thinking of this, Kim's heart became strong again and he added from his heart: "I'll assist you with my healing ability and would sell what ever they can buy from me when we get to Helilia."

When Hogan's family heard this, they were surprised at Kim's change of expression and words.

"Thank you so much!", Hogan's wife cried as she hurriedly knelt down before Kim.

"No please, don't do that, you'll embarrass my brother!", He said as he helped her get up.

"Thank you Kim, I really am grateful...", Hogan added with emotion as he looked at his daughter.

Just then, someone yelled: "is that fire?!"

"Yes it is!", Another shouted as they rushed towards the glowing fire in the middle of the night.

Miguel, Clark and Kayla were the ones who had setup the fire and due to how driven Miguel was, they didn't turn off the fire before leaving.

"Where are the campers?", They asked vigilantly looking around.

"There are some footprints on the sand!", one said pointing at the floor

"Off course they'll be footprints on the sand, isn't this a busy road?!", Another replied.

"These ones are fresh, they haven't been tempered with by the wind or other travellers.", The man's added squatting and carefully observing the footprint.

On hearing this, the rest guards, kept quiet.

The speakers name is Joe.

Joe above all others had what one will call a 6th sense.

Like one who had Psychometry, he could also tell what came in contact with things, but his abilities could only be triggered by taste.

"Miguel was here!", He said after having a taste of the sand a couple of times.

"Of course he was, it's not everyday we eat sand that taste like Miguel!", The other guard mocked and majority of them began to laugh.

Joe stood up and added: "I am serious Don! He and Clark was here!"

He suddenly looked forwards and then at the floor.

Then he turned around still keeping his gaze on the floor while everyone looked at him like a mad man.

"No body move!", He added abruptly.

And they all came to a stop as they watched him go in between them still keeping his eyes on the floor.

Suddenly he stopped and bent down slowly, took a pinch of the sand, placed it in his mouth, moved it around a bit, spat and said: "Miguel is going back to the main chambers!"
