On hearing this mad man, my heart tensed up.
This was the first time in my life I had experienced such. I've always been very calm; able to analyse the situation in milliseconds and come up with almost a thousand solutions and their consequences, but now I am not even sure I remember how to breathe.
"Answer me!", he said putting the gun against my head.
"I swear, I don't know!", I said panting.
"Stand up and don't you dare open your mouth!", he added pointing the gun against my head.
I stood up and all I could think of was out to get rid of the necklace on my neck so I could think like Caleb normally does.
We got into the leaving room and was heading for the door.
"Shhh!", he hushed as we continued moving out of the house.
I gently pulled the necklace and let it fall freely as we walked out of the house.
"Keep going!", he commanded.
After walking a few steps away from the door, I slowly began to feel my abilities creeping in slowly.
It was dark so the bastard couldn't see the change on my skin.
"Keep going!", he commanded as we walked on.
At this point I could tell he was taking me towards the river. I could hear the gentle flowing water and the surfing in and out of fishes and other sea creatures.
"Why are you doing this?", I asked.
"We are out of the house now, don't you think it's time you stopped with the pretending?!", he said as we continued walking.
"Who sent you?!", he asked as we stood in front of the river.
"William? Carlos?! Kendel?! Which of those pricks who can't take good care of their wives sent you?!", he asked.
It really does take a bad person to know one! Seems this bastard's been involved in alot of promiscuous activities.
"I wasn't sent by either one of them, but if you still don't believe me, why don't you go ahead and end my life!", I said.
On hearing me he got pissed as I expected him to do.
A guilty man wouldn't take such an answer. He can't be stable knowing fully well that he doesn't know who his enemey is, but his enemy knows his exact location. They definitely would want to pull out as much information from the messenger in anyway possible.
"Seems like you don't know who you are up against!", he added.
"Apparently neither do you?", I added with a stern expression just to intesify the atmosphere, and it did exactly what I wanted it to do.
His heart beat increased in speed and he became alot more alert now assuming that he was right.
"William now!", I said.
As soon as my voice fell, he turned around.
Tak!
The gun was off his hand and on mine.
"Now you move!", I said looking at him.
On seeing this, he looked at me and smiled.
"Nicely done!", he added.
"Now's not the time for compliments, I said move!", I added.
"Where?", he asked, smiling and raising his hand up.
"For the sake of your wife, I am going to leave you alive. But you are going to be more dead than a dead man!", I added.
"Now turn around!", I commanded.
He laughed and did.
"If only you......", he said attempting an attack amidst his speech because he noticed me looking back at the frog which made a splash in the water. A frog which I had been waiting for to make it's move for like forever.
As planned, he didn't miss the opportunity.
Bang!
I hit his neck and he fell on the floor knocked out cold.
I immediately brought out is phone, using his fingers to unlock it and in a brief moment I was able to uncover a lot of secrets about this unfaithful bastard.
With his fingers, I removed his phone's protection and then opened one of the most self explainatory chats he had and then pressed the power button just to turn of the screen, then placed it back in his pocket.
Afterwards, I pulled him close to the river, dug up some worms from the ground, cut his fingers and placed them on it in pushing them in, crippling their chances of leaving but also not so much that they aren't hidden. After doing this, I put them in the water as he laid face up.
Then with my hand, sticks and some forceful hits, I tempered with his vocal cords.
Afterwards, I went back to the house and brought back with me the fishing rod I saw hanged in the living room and placed it beside him.
After it all, I placed the gun back in is pocket, went back to the house, picked up my necklace from the front lawn, wore it and went to bed.
When I woke up, it was morning already; the sun was bright and fully out. I am not sure I've ever slept for this long in my life.
A sleep so sound and peaceful.
After yawning and doing some few stretches, I strolled out of the room.
I looked around, but couldn't find anybody, then remembered that, I left Mr. Benjamin by the river bank.
"Caleb!", I heard Ms. Jane yell.
Even though I figured out why she called in that manner, I quickly rushed out and saw Benjamin next to her looking very hideous.
His fingers had been badly eating, his throat was swolen and his face looked a year or two older than it did yersterday.
"He seemingly went fishing last night and the fishes at up his fingers, I don't know why but he's unable to speak as well.", she explained crying.
