"My Lord, I found Lord Miguel and Kayla on the road Helilia!", a guard spoke to Luca.

"What?!! What are they doing there?!", Luca spoke furiously.

The guard remained quiet.

"Could it be...?!", He began to ponder.

He though about the possible reasons why they would to Helilia and his face became even more ugly.

"Go, prepare the horse! Call all the guards not on duty! Do this as fast as possible!", He spoke panicking.

He figured that the reason why his brother would take Kayla to Helilia was to abort the child. And this was one of the most dangerous and painfully processes in of Quaila; not many women survive the process.

They had not once nor twice proposed to ban this process but Lord Palmer for some reason didn't comply.

Luca became even more angry with his father's rulership.

But all this rage and fear were spawn from a residue of love he had for Kayla. He secretly didn't want her harmed.

After the incident, even though he was unpleased with everything, and knew that the law would require them to be banished out of Quaila, he wasn't so scared because he knew how much Lord Gregory loved his daughter and how well she could be hidden in Phytillia and so wasn't so worried.

Now he has received news that his brother has plans to have his beloved Kayla go through such a dangerous and wicked process, how could he accept this?

Just as he hurriedly got dressed to follow the guards he had requested for, he remembered his father's words.

He held his metal vest and for a moment he was unable to make a move.

If he should go with his guards, they would have to get Miguel back to the palace where his father can protect and hide him. Although, he could go to the temple to pray to the demons so that they could just come and kill his brother once and for all, but what if those at the temple were to report this to his father?

And even if they don't report him after he had consulted these demons to kill his brother, what about Kayla? Wouldn't she be with them then? How fast can he send her off and secretly bring his brother home that none on the way or a guard even wouldn't figure out that he had Miguel in his possession.

He slammed the metal vest on the floor aggressively and rushed out of the room, heading straight to the the Apical Stables.

When he got there, he found only the horse keepers, seeming very unaware of the instruction he had earlier given.

"My Lord!", The young man greeted bowing.

"Were you guys given any instruction?", He asked.

"No My Lord!", The man replied.

Just as Luca was about to leave, he saw the guard whom he sent coming towards them.

Luca quickly put a finger on his lips, shushing the guard as he held his arm and pulled him away.

"My Lord..... I....", The guard stuttered.

"Where have you been?!", Luca asked calmly hoping the guard had said nothing.

"I went to gather the rest guards so that we could all come together and get the horses. After informing them, I came to inform the stable keepers so they get the horses ready for us when I met you", he explained.

"That's okay....", Luca added tightening his fist, angry at himself for even sending him out in the first place without thinking things through.

At this point, he saw how much of a weakness Kayla was to him in the first place.

For the love he has for her, if he ever becomes the ruler of Quaila, she would be his Achilles heel.

Thinking of this, another plan came to mind.

Since the guards have already been told, they might as well go. After all even if he took no actions and his father got to know, his father would definitely take actions.

So in order to cripple his father, and have his way, he said: "let all the guards you've called go to Helilia, but secretly, and without horses! Make sure no one other the ones you've already told know about this, I don't want any attention to be drawn to them!"

By attention, he meant his father. If all who knows about this is gone the chances of his father knowing about this will be greatly reduced.

When the guard heard this, he subconsciously spoke: "but without horses it would take us atleast a day to get to Helilia!"

"Slow and steady wins the race!", Luca replied calmly.

Afterwards the guard remained quiet as he tried to fully grasp Luca's words.

"Is that understood?!", Luca asked looking at the guard sternly.

"Yes My Lord!", The guard said and walked away.

With this, Luca walked back to his court as he thought: 'The battle for Apical head is happening tomorrow, his father's attention would have to be on that now. As long as the guards move at a steady pace, they would arrive at Helilia about this time tomorrow. At that time, his father would definitely be in the field.'

'If the guards being the guards that they were get Miguel, they'll inadvertently reveal his location, probably during the comotion to capture him. Miguel is generally hated by the Quailians and so it's only a matter of time before someone goes to the temple to pray to the demons, killing Miguel without interuption. If there is anyone that can stop or hold back the demons, it would be his father, but without his intervention, Miguel is definitely a dead man. And his father would be further weakened after hearing about his death, leaving him as the acting ruler of Quaila. Win win!'
