MERYLIN'S POV:
The lunatic continued driving the car while the cops road directly behind him.
From where we were, we could see the outside through the opaque door glass.
The cops chased the van as their sirens went on loudly.
"What are we going to do?", Mom asked sobbing.
I quickly brought out my phone and began to call dad.
"Dad!", I cried.
"Merylin!", He called in shock.
"What's going on?!", He asked seemingly hearing the sound of the sirens.
"We are abducted!", I cried.
"What?! Where are you guys?!", Dad panicked.
"I don't know!", I cried looking out the door's window. All I could see was the blue and red lights from the sirens.
The lunatic suddenly made a sharp turn. I fell to the ground and so did my phone.
"Dad!", I called as I tried to reach.
"Merylin!", Mom called.
"What's he going to do besides get worried?!", Mom said as soon as I grabbed the phone.
She wasn't lying.
"Hello!", I heard his voice call aloud from the phone.
I looked at it and ended the call.
"Stop the vehicle, you have no where to run!", We heard the cops say from the intercom.
"I ain't stopping this bus! We are all going to die!!", We heard him yell as he increased his driving speed.
On hearing this, I got a lot more scared.
Mom hugged me and began to cry: "I love you Mery! How ever this turns out, please don't forget that I love you!"
As soon as she hugged me and began to cry, I remembered how hopeless I felt before Caleb came to my rescue the other time.
Thinking of Caleb, I looked around and asked myself: "What would Caleb do if he was here?"
I suddenly saw the fire extinguisher.
"Mom wait a second!", I said and rushed towards the fire extinguisher.
Bang!
It cracked notably.
Bang!!
It broke and fell out.
I looked through the hole and saw the lock.
Now I could see where were and not just the red and blue light.
"What can you see?!", Mom asked.
"Mom we are in a forest path!", I said panicking a bit.
"What's all this?!", Mom cried pulling back her hair as she walked around.
At this time, we weren't even concerned about the dead body on the floor. All that mattered now was our survival.
Suddenly the sound of the sirens began to reduce.
"What's going on? Are the cops backing away?!", Mom asked.
"It seems so?!", I said looking towards the broken window pave to see.
"They are!", I added.
"Why?!", Mom asked looking at me with a more panickful expression.
"I don't know!", She added.
"Please let us out!", Mom yelled as she hit walls of the van closest to the driver.
"I hope you girls are great swimmers!", He spoke.
"What?!", We exclaimed.
"It doesn't matter really. I can escape, but you can't!", He added as he kept on driving.
Only then did I understand his plan and the reason the cops retreated.
We've been through this path before; I and Blake. There's a broken bridge up ahead.
If he drives us into the water, since we are locked in, there's no way we can swim out.
And since the glass has been broken, it only increases the speed at which the water would get in.
We are doomed.
In desperation I ran towards the window and yelled with all the strength I could gather: "Caleb!!!!"
CALEB'S POV:
The number of sales personnels in the mall began to increase as they evacuated people from the mall.
I looked at the locked freezer which housed the Modunam Box and then at salesperson walking towards me.
"My item's in there!", I spoke pointing at the door.
"Don't worry sir, you'll get it as soon as the mall is reopened.", I replied.
"But I need it now!", I added.
"I am afraid we can't help you!", He added.
"Please you all have to wait outside the restaurant. Instructions from above", he said
Wait outside? Instructions from above?
Something's not right!
I quickly walked out of the mall and went straight to the counter like one about to order something.
"How can we help you sir?", They asked.
"I would like a plate of spaghetti please!", I requested.
"Just that?!", They asked.
"Yes please!", I replied calmly paying attention as I paid attention to all the salespersons that came out of the mall evacuating people outside the mall and unto the parking lot.
"How much would that cost?", I asked.
"$5 93!", The salesperson replied.
Just then the male salepersons I had been waiting for stepped out of the mall.
"I'll be right back!", I said and rushed to where she was.
"Excuse me!", I said with smile.
"How can I help you...", He asked.
".. Um, please could you help me with the toilet?", I asked.
"The toilet?!", He repeated with a bit of confusion because the toilet was in a very obvious position. Just in between the counter and the mall door.
"Yes the toilet...", I replied.
"It's over there sir", He said trying to sound as polite as possible, pointing at the toilet door not so far away.
"That's the thing, I am finding it difficult to open the door. ", I replied acting. Turning my hand around in the air, twisting left and right, and putting up a confused expression.
"Uhh, it's just a regular door...", He added still trying to sound polite, although slowly loosing his patience.
"Please help me.. Chris", I pleaded.
He looked at his badge, at me, then at the main door at the people being evacuated by the salespersons.
"Weren't you in the mall with them!", He asked.
I looked at them and replied: "yes, but I got really pressed. You could wait for me if you want, when I am done I'll come with you!"
He exhaled and walked towards the toilet.
I followed closely behind.
He opened the door with ease looking at me with an attitude full expression.
I chuckled and added: "I am not from around here. I find it difficult to use most of the things you guys do!"
He opened the door wide as I walked in.
"I might have some issues using these things!", I said aloud.
He got angry and stepped in aggressively.
"There's nothing had with these things. You put your d_ck there and pee! Do I have to show you that too!", He added now inside the toilet where there were no cameras to see his rude behavior.
Finally able to vent his anger.
Staffs.....
Time to get what I want. He's about same height as me; brown hair and slim.
Perfect disguise.
"Hi, I am Chris", I said stretching forth my hand for a shake.
"What?!", He said looking down at my hand with a bewildered expression.
Bang!
A jab to his face.
