He finally picked up.
"Hello, is this Kelvin? It's Nora's mom", Sarah said immediately.
After seeing Nora at the banquet, Kelvin had not been able to get her off his mind. He feared he wasn't going to get a chance to be close to her, but now Nora's mom herself had given him a call.
He figured Sarah had a problem, and yes, this was am opportunity to get close, one he dared not miss.
"Aunt Sarah, is everything fine?", He asked politely.
"Well... Actually, Aunty needs your help for something", Sarah replied.
"And what may that be aunty?", Kelvin replied.
"Kelvin, some older sisters and I purchased some insurance products from a company known as Harley, and I used up all my money to invest, but they refused to pay us. Is there any way you can help aunty get back her money?", Sarah explained.
On hearing this, Kelvin was overwhelmed with joy. He figured this was the time for him to show himself, "don't worry Auntie, I am on my way, I'll make I help you!", He added.
"Thank you so much", Sarah said excited.
When she ended the call, she turned to Chris, "some people cannot be counted on, because they can't do anything other than yelling out slogans, what use are they? They are simply useless!", She added.
On hearing this, Chris sneered, his mother-in-law was extremely snobbish and couldn't see.
She requested for Kelvin's help?
Harley has defrauded alot of people and must have got at least 10’s of millions, if not more. Those who do such must have a really strong support. It's highly possible they are of high status in secret. How can the ordinary Kelvin White make these guys refund what they have successfully frauded.
As a matter if fact, the matter was so little that, just a call to Marloy from Shangri-La hotel will solve it.
Besides, he is under the Arthurs in the Hillsprings, and all entrepreneur or top business tycoon in the city is basically answerable to him.
But then again, my mother-in-law trusts in Kelvin so much, and had already insulted me, so let's see what he would be able to do for her.
When one of the elders saw Sarah smiling, they figured something had happened, and so asked her if she had found someone influential enough to help them.
"Don't worry, I was on the phone with the Eldest son of the White family, I asked him to come help us. When he comes, he is going to make some calls and put an end to all our problem", Sarah proudly replied.
"Did you just say the oldest son of the White family? Wow, I never knew you were this influential", someone complimented to further raise Sarah's shoulders.
"Impressive, Mr White must know a lot of people that can put an end to all our problem, with no so much stress", another added.
"Sarah, since you have so many good men in your contact list, why did you not give one of them your daughter's hand in marriage, instead of handing him to this trash!", Another commented.
Sarah looked at Chris in a disdainful manner, snoring coldly, "this trash will be thrown away as soon as possible, faraway from the Bromwick family", Sarah said.
Chris said nothing as he waited for Kelvin White, and watch as he collides against a mountain that's way bigger than himself.
Not long after, a black porshe arrived in front of all the elders.
And Kelvin came down from the car in a suit and leather shoes, looking talented.
"Oh my, look at this handsome and talented looking young man, a total son-in-law material, I wonder who’s daughter will be lucky enough to be his bride", the elders said to themselves.
