"Rich!, how could you say that!", Rachael said still trying to defend Fernando, "open your eyes Rachael, for almost half a year you guys have been trying to catch a particular killer, who's left behind no evidence what so ever, how possible is that, unless the killer himself covers his own tracks, neatly, and who would be in a better position to do that than the first person on the crime scenes", I said to prove my point, and Rachael and Fernando himself became quiet, "further more, I was knocked out by Fernando, that was the last I saw my DDA badge, there's no way on earth it coincidentally got missing right after that incident, he stole it", I said aloud getting more p_ssed, "...Fernando, is that true?", Rachael said sounding quite dissapointed, "...it's.....it's, Rachael you don't really believe that I did all of that did you?", he stammered, "what's your proof otherwise?", Rachael also being smart asked, and there was silence for a while, "what about the writing, how would I write something and not see it, what does it even mean?", he said laughing still seeking trying to get Rachael on his side, "really Fernando, that's the best you can come up with, the fact you just said this makes it more clear that you are the killer, and your reason for writing such was to throw people off gaurd", I said still standing strong on my belief, "and for more proof we are going to search your house at once!", I said authoritatively as I walked towards the door, "you cant go into my house without a warrant, you are not previlleged", he said, "I'll file the report!", Rachael said as her voice broke, "Rachael!", Fernando called surprised.
Awesome, with Rachael on my side the truth about this bastard will finally surface.
"Rachael!", I called as Rachael walked out of the room obviously dissapointed, "have you seen Lois?", I asked, "no", she said as she walked out, "I hope you are happy", Fernado said, "how can I be when you are not behind bars", I said to him, he smiled and walked out of the room.
i just stood there looking at john's corpse, "I have her number!", Rachael said holding up her phone.
After collecting Lois's number, I called severally but there was no answer, I then drove to a near by club to drink and clear my head.
"what's your name", the big black bouncer asked, holding up the list of invitees, "Rich Baztad!", I replied, "not here sir", he replied after searching for a while, "pardon me, I meant detective Rich", I said showing him my badge, " am here to conduct an investigation!", I replied, "so may I come in, or are you still in my way?", I said to him, "of course not detective!", the bouncer said as he let me in.
The club was booming with a really loud music, so loud you could barely here yourself talk, I walked to the bartender where the music wasn't so concentrated and ordered for a shot of their best, and sat on the stool observing everything, "hey, I've got a pair of mittens back at home, so don't worry, I won't get burnt handling ya", he said to the girl next to me, obviously older than him, "what!", she exclaimed irritated and walked away, without a rebound he immediately walked up to another and pulled her out of the dance floor, as the confused girl followed, "what's your problem", she asked comfused, "do you want to burn down the dance floor!!", he asked aloud, "what!!!", she asked obviously p_ssed, "you are way too hot to be in such a place, I have a cooler at home, we should go chill", he said and was immediately slapped, I smiled as I watch the young man walk to yet another girl, "excuse me!", he said with urgency written all over his face, the girl immediately gave him all her attention, "I think we should hook up", he said and smiled, she too slapped him really hard, I laughed harder as he kept this on for a couple of minutes without giving up or stopping for even a second to think or feel bad.
"Just as he was about talking to another girl, I walked up to him and held his hand, pulling him away from the crowd, "I have a pair of mittens back at my place, so don't worry, I won't get burnt handling you!", I said to him trying so hard not to laugh, "gross man!, what the f_ck!!", he said aloud in anger as fear obviously began to creep in, "don't you want to chill in my cooler!", I said to him, "no no no, I aint gay man!....", he said as I began to laugh really hard, "...wait, you've been watching me!", he said as he too began to laugh.
"one shot of your finest for this young man!", I ordered honestly impressed by his resiliance, "I like you kid, I said to him, you've found a way to put a smile and my face, so amma return the favour", I said as the drink I ordered for him came, and I handed it to him, "woh man!, this is expensive", he said as he looked at the glass, "I am Rich, and you are?", I said to him, "not so Rich, what up man this is crazy expensive...", he said as he carefully took a sip while I laughed, "have it all kid, it's all yours!, you earn it", I said to him as he drank shyly while I laughed, "I've been watching you for quite a while, I love your reselience and persistency, and I want to promise you that with that and a little help from me you'll be going home with a girl tonight, and waking up on your bed smiling and remembering me", I said to him smiling, "no man, I am hoping to go to thier own house, my house aint going to work", he said and I laughed louder, "stop it", he said as he too began to laugh.
"alright, the first thing you need to get any girl is confidence. I don't give a d_mn if she's married, or has kids or is way hotter than you, or has a boyfriend who's better than you, once you've got that on mind you can approach without a fear of rejection", I said to the young man as he looked around, "but I am confident, you saw me, I wasn't scared to approach any girl", he said confidently, " yes, because you were prepared to fail, which brings us to number 2, aim for it's neck, the term aim for it's neck simply means go for their weaknesses, let's say you meet a girl who dances awkwardly, there's a big chance she's insecure about her dancing but is just trying to loosen up, that's where you go in, find away to take her off the dance floor, that will be easy because she's been looking for a reason to do so", I said as I looked around for a girl that fitted my description, number 3 or should I say 2.5 cause its kinda like 2, you should know when a girl is open to talk, unless you have a good line to get her out of the dance floor, don't pull her out of it, especially when she's having a good time.
4 stop your corny lines, make things a little mature, by being direct, by direct I mean hint her up, don't ask her if she wants to hook up, unless she's a hooker or really high and despirate.
5 your outfits needs to send a decent message as well, if you want to score high, dress it.
6 don't forget to introduce yourself, and lastly no matter how horny you, dont appear desperate, with these you can score any girl in this club", I said to him, "woh man, how long have you been doing this?", he asked smiling and feeling empowered, "can't really remember, but can remember being slapped alot", I said I held my cheek and he began to laugh, "what's your name kid?", I asked, "it's john!", he replied, as soon as he mentioned the name, the noisy club became mute, as I stared at him, "Jor...n", I said slowly as the music came back on, "yeah man, john, are you ok?", he asked on noticing the change in my voice and facial expression, "yeah I am", I replied, "what's yours?", he asked, "...Rich, Rich Baztad", he began to laugh, "are you for real?", he said laughing aloud, just like john did when he heard my name for the first time, "that has to be the coolest name I've heard in my life", he added, "alright man, am going to check your strategy out", he said as he stood and scanned the club for a prey, "got her!", he said and walked up to a cute girl stand shyly at the other end of the bar, I couldnt here what they were saying, but see them talk, she laughed and he put his hand for a shake seemingly introducing himself, as they both walked together closer to where I was.
"a glass of... what do you want sweetie?", he asked the cute girl, "anything's fine", she said modestly, "anything's fine he said to the bartender", and the bartender brought a glass of cocktail, John took it and handed it to the cute girl, and then followed up with the bartender as he served others drink, "how much's that?", he asked obviously hoping that it doesn't cost much, "that would be 15 bucks!", he said and continued serving, as Johns facial expression changed, "hey, enjoy your date", I said to him, he looked at and reciprocated the smile I had on, and then turned to the girl as they continued talking, he soon walked back to me, "I know we just met man, and this will be asking alot, but can i...", he said and looked at the girl, "...we", he said lowering his voice, spend a night at your place, I smiled, "please!!", he begged, "here!", I said dropping a couple of bucks in his hand, "oh my!!!!, f_ck man, this is... you are", he hugged me and immediately stopped, and coughed a 'thank you', as he slipped the money into his pocket and walked back to the girl, and they left shortly after, I winked at him as he passed by, as he smiled.
I sat there still drinking and looking around when I saw some one walking towards me from the crowd, as it felt like spot light was on her, "hey Rich", Lois said to me, "hi", I replied as I secretly admired her red gown which showed her curves, "Rachael called and told me you wanted to talk", she replied, "i've been calling", I said to her, "so have I", she replied and I brought out my phone, and saw several missed calls from her, "oh", I replied, "I just wanted to say thank you", I said to her, "just that?", she asked, "yeah", I replied, "oh ok...well I came to give you this", she said and handing me my DDA badge, "how did you?", I asked surprised wondering how and where she got it from.
Could this be what she was talking to D about.
"you are welcome!", she said and began to walk away.
I walked to her, and pulled her by the arm to my self and kissed her, as the music went mute once again.
Why is she doing this!?
