Hearing these words, William was shocked and dumbfounded, "What do you mean?
How could this happen??"
"Probably the castle was sealed up in the name of investigation." Derila whispered,
"I don't know the details, it was Monica who got the information."
"It seems His Majesty has given the investigation to those brutes." William was very
agitated, "He knew they wanted to put me to death and he let them investigate."
"Now is not the time to talk about that, you hurry up and make a decision now, should I
get you out?" Derila looked at his watch, "It's been over forty minutes since I came
in, if I delay any longer, I'm afraid I'll be found out."
"I can't go out." William quickly calmed down, "If I do, they'll be in even more danger."
"So what now?" Derila glanced out the window. There were a few guards hurrying
this way, they should have spotted something, she hurriedly urged, "Hurry up, they're
coming."
"Derila, you go with Monica to Clark, he knows what to do." William immediately
said, "If it's one or the other, save them first!!!"
"Good." Without any nonsense, Derila immediately carried the medical kit and
flipped out of the window.
No sooner had she left than several guards kicked open the door to William's room,
pointing their guns inside, and seeing that the room was empty, they immediately
started searching in.
William lay numbly on the bed, not saying a word.
Several guards did not find anyone and went to the window to check again, but
Derila was already far away and they could not see any trace of him, so they had to
leave in anger.
From the moment they came to go, they completely ignored William's presence.
It was as if he was a dead man.
At that moment, the senior officer also returned and was shocked to learn that the
previous doctor was a fake. He panicked and pushed open the room to check, and was
relieved to see that William was still lying intact on the bed.
The guards gave a few words of advice to the senior officer and then left.
William lay on his sickbed, his eyes grim, staring at the ceiling.
Now that even the guards didn't regard him, his dignity wasn't even worth mentioning.
The king knew that the men wanted to put him to death, and he let them use the
investigation into the poisoning to close off his castle, completely ignoring those men.
And he, too, was only barely hanging on to his life for the sake of the king's face and
reputation.
He had been too naive to think that the king still had a touch of affection for him, that if
he became good enough and had enough leverage, he could bring down those people.
Only now did he realize that the king and the houses were one and the same, and that it
would be a fantasy to ask the king to punish them for him, the outcast.
But even if he didn't punish them, he didn't have to push him to the brink, right?
Why did he have to be so cruel when they were also blood relatives?
William couldn't understand, really couldn't understand.
Derila escaped successfully and rejoined Monica.
When Monica saw her alone, she hurriedly asked after her, "What's going on? Where is
His Highness?"
"William won't go, he told us to go find Clark." Derila said, "Get in first, the guards
have found out and are still looking for me."
"Why isn't His Highness leaving? We are here to save him." Monica asked anxiously.
Derila didn't say anything and pushed her into Dominic's car.
The car started up and drove out before Derila spoke back, "If we save him now,
the people in the castle will be finished. Besides, even if we were able to get him out of
the hospital, it would be hard to leave Danontand."
"Then we can't just leave him in the hospital to die." Monica was anxious, "You should
get him out first, we'll figure out the rest later."
"You didn't hear what I said clearly?" Derila frowned, "If we get him out now, then
Clark and those people in the castle will be finished!!! If those people die because of
him, then will William still be able to live?"
Monica was speechless.
