Although Daemon's words were spoken angrily and his tone was somewhat hateful,
that look full of worry instantly melted Derila's heart.
Derila couldn't tense up anymore and weakly leaned against his chest.
"It's okay, I'm here!" Daemon's heart became soft and he could no longer bear to scold
her, but only touched her head tenderly with his palm.
It was as if he was telling her that even if the sky collapsed, he would hold on to it!
Derila became soft at once, all her strength, at this moment, was removed.
At this point, she suddenly remembered something more important and hurriedly said,
"Those bombs, Anthony, and the children…"
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it." Daemon hugged Derila and left in stride, not
looking back as he ordered, "Settle everything down, I don't want anything to happen to
any of them except for Chrono."
"Yes, sir!"
…..
Anthony and several of the injured social workers were promptly taken to the hospital.
Charles was an expert in bomb disposal and quickly defused all the hidden bombs in the
orphanage.
The children were all moved to other orphanages to settle down and Sloan and the
others accompanied the police here to do the aftermath.
That day, it rained heavily and continued to do so until the next morning.
Derila woke up from a nightmare and opened her eyes to see Daemon's gentle
face, she hurriedly asked, "Where is Anthony? Where are the children? Are they all
right?"
Daemon's brow furrowed up and his eyes were full of displeasure, but he didn't get
angry, instead he answered bluntly, "A few of the little ones are injured, none of them
are seriously hur but Anthony seems to be in some danger, he is now in the intensive
care unit."
"He should have hurt his spleen, I have to go and see." Derila stiffly tried to get up,
but was held down by Daemon, "How can you treat someone when you're so badly
injured? I've asked Harrison to inform Dr. Solova to come over."
"It's too late." Derila was very anxious, "His condition is critical, it will be dangerous
if it is delayed."
With that, Derila strained to sit up and tried to get up and get out of bed, but the
injury on her leg was so severe that she fell as soon as she hit the ground.
Daemon sat there, looking at her coldly, without saying a word.
Derila held onto the hospital bed and attempted to stand up again, but just as she
stood up she fell back down again.
"Is he that important?" Daemon finally opened his mouth to question.
"He is dear to me, he is my family, and he is hurt because of me." Derila said
urgently, "I have to save him!"
Without saying anything else, Daemon got up and picked her up, put her on the
wheelchair, and pushed her out.
"Sir!" Harrison and his entourage immediately greeted him.
"Call the attending doctor to come and discuss the matter of resuscitating Anthony."
Daemon ordered.
"Yes." Harrison immediately made arrangements.
Daemon pushed Derila to the intensive care unit, where the dean and doctors
were already waiting, and hurriedly explained the specifics to Derila.
Derila's brows furrowed: "What? The bullet hasn't been removed yet?"
"The bullet is now embedded in the internal organs, it is very dangerous, we dare not.."
"Prepare the operation immediately, I'll do it." Derila was very decisive, "Prepare a
lot of blood plasma, quick!"
The doctor looked at Daemon.
"Do as she says." Daemon ordered.
"Yes." The dean quickly went to make arrangements, but the attending doctor was a
little uneasy: "Ms.Feroma, your right shoulder is injured, can you hold a scalpel?"
In fact, now Derila could only sit in a wheelchair, her leg was unable to hit the
ground, and her entire right arm was stiff and immobile.
Therefore, the right hand could not hold the scalpel at all.
"If you can't hold it with your right hand, you still have your left hand." Derila
frowned at Anthony on the bed, "Anthony, you believe me, don't you?"
Anthony didn't move a muscle, but it was as if he was saying, "Yes, I believe you!"
