It was some minutes after 11, and according to Magnus I had 24hours to prove I didn't kill the clown.
I got out of our station and headed straight to the scene of the crime Mrs Miller was in the living room crying still in her towel as police officials patrol the house.
"Mrs Miller", I said as I walked up to her, "Rich!", she said as she wiped her tears, "are you really a detective?", she asked, "yeah I am", I replied, "then help me find out who did this, I know Jerry wasn't the best.....but he did his best to raise and keep his family, my son's only 3, how am I going to tell him that his dad is dead.....", she lamented and was interrupted by me, "wait you have a kid?", I asked in shock, "yes I do, his name is matthew", she said and pointed at a family portrait, "wow.....a child came out of you...unbelievable I mean unmmmmm does........Jerry have any enemies?", I asked her, she gave me a dead stare and continued talking, "I don't know.......he...he...shouldn't, I mean he goes to work everyday and comes back happy, today was different though, he promised he was going to come back home early, to make up for the.....", she stopped , "uh uh...", I said wondering why she stopped and waiting for her to continue, "...uhhhh", she closes her eyes, breathes heavily and continues, "for the bad s_x we've been having", she completed her sentence, "OK.... ", I said trying to hold myself from laughing...

"how did this happen?", I asked, "the s_x?", she asked , "yeah....I mean no, how did his death come about?", I replied, "oh after you left, I laid on the bed naked, waiting for Jerry to get out of the shower, when he finally did his d_ck remained un-erected , I tried everything, then he said, he had some pills in his bag which he left in the living room which he went to get , he was taking too long, I called and called but not a single word was uttered back, so I went to check for myself, and there he was laying on the floor dead", she said and continued crying.
"so did he by any chance mention any worker who he had issues with? ", I asked, "none that I am aware off........but he did mention that a particular delivery guy was bringing him random gifts from an anonymous person, he claimed the delivery guy was a spy , he always told me about him but I didn't really pay much attention to it..", she said and was interrupted by the abrupt opening of the door
"Oh my God!!.......Jerry!!!", a man said as he ran in and stood in front of the dead clown, "Mark!", Mrs Miller said aloud, "Amber!", he replied and came closer, "what happened?", he asked crying, and then she narrated, "I told him not to leave the work premises alone especially since he claimed to be spied on", Mark said crying like a baby as mucus ran down his nose,
Clown number 2!, the circus is almost complete.
"wait a second he told you about the spy too?", I asked, "yeah", he replied, "did he give any details to what he looked liked, "I said, he wears a red hat and was always coming around for different deliveries from an unknown gifter", Mark replied, "what was the last thing he delivered?", I asked, "he usually delivers pizza and he delivered a pizza today dropping it at the front of Jerry's office and then running off, he was way too fast for the security so he successfully escaped", Mark replied, "interesting what's the nearest pizza shop to work?", I asked Mark, "ummmm....MY PIZZA AND YOURS", he replied, "Alright then, here's my number incase you guys remember anything else that can help the investigation", I said and gave my card to the both of them and left immediately.
I drove straight to MY PIZZA AND YOURS, on getting there everyone in there had a red hat, it felt like a dead end, "good afternoon so what would you like to have?", The waiter over the counter asked me, "I'll like to have..........a word with your manager", I replied, "what!?", he said surprised, I immediately brought out my badge, "right that way sir", he said pointing to the hallway.
I walked through the hall way and was welcomed by different pleasant smells, I managed to ignore till I got to the manager's office, I see why they call him the manager, I wonder he manages to ignore this everyday.
I knocked twice and entered, "good morning sir", I said seeing a fat man with two empty boxes of pizza and a slice in one on his desk, I guess I was wrong about his management skills, "Good morning", he said disgustingly with food still in his mouth and on his cheeks, I immediately brought out my badge, "Detective Rich Lapd!", I said to him, "Detective!!", he said in shock as food flew out of his mouth, am so going to throw up, "I need the information of all the recent employees and per time workers?", I asked, "phew!", he breathes out in relief, "and I know about the other stuff you guys do here but I won't mention it because I'll be too full receiving a free pizza when ever I come around",
It was clear this pig was hiding something underneath his fat a_s but I really don't want to find out what it's sh_t smelt like, I came to catch a killer not dig up a pigs poo, so I might as well make good use of this opportunity.
"Done!", he replied immediately, "now the information?", I asked again "well detective ummm ummm, I don't have that, you see I recently fired my secretary who kept those information in her laptop, but I'll give her a call right now", he said to me and picks up his phone, dials and puts his phone to his ear housed by his fat disgusting face, "hello!!!!!", he yells like a madman trying to call someone at the distant end of another street, "I!...need!... you!... at!... work!... now!", he yelled again , if not for composure I would have blown his brain out, he dropped his phone, "she said she's not coming and she deleted all our information "f_ck!", I muttered,
Another dead end.
So I left his office with a box of pizza, on going I saw this guy with very nice calves, he looked really atlethic, "hey couterback!", I yelled, "Catch I said and then threw the box of pizza in front of him, he caught with the agility of an athlete, "nice catch", I said walking closer to him,
He looks too fit to be working in such a place, besides he fits the physical description, a red hatted guy who out ran the cops, he has to be the killer.
I collected the pizza box from him stretching my hands to him for a hand shake, "I am Rich", I said to him as we locked hands, "detective Rich", I added increasing my grip on the handshake as I watched his expression change, "I have to get to work now", he said to me seeming really uncomfortable, "what do you know about Jerry Miller?", I asked, on hearing this he immediately picked the small bag of flour on the tray on the table next to us and hit it on my face and ran off,

Oh and did I mention that I run about 5 miles in under 20min every morning,
In minutes I caught up with the bastard, luckily for him I was on suit and he got me covered in flour, I pushed him and he fell to the floor, I gave him a straight and solid punch to the face, "that was for the flour, now get up tell me what you know about Jerry Miller?", I said to him, "Mr!!", I said aloud while kicking his arm.
I think I hit too hard, I cuffed him and was waiting for him to get up so I could take him to my car, I left him under the sun and waited under a nearby tree for awhile.
When the idiot finally woke and discovered he was cuffed he stood and started running, before I could get to him he was half way across the road, he fell to the ground, a truck was driving towards him on high speed.
"No!!!!!!!!!!", I screamed, "Ahhh!!!!!!" he screamed, and the truck drove on him like kneading a bread as his bones popped out of his disfigured body, I doubt Jesus could bring this Lazarus back to life,
There goes 5 to 6 hours of my time wasted on this dough, this is just f_cked, I have no proof that this guy was the killer, not even his name.
I got back to my car, brought out a wipe to clean of the flour powder on me and then drove to the coffee shop to clear my head at least try having one last s_x with the cute waiter before jail.
I arrived at the coffee shop, it's currently 4:32pm, so it was still open, I got in and walked straight to the counter, "excuse me am looking for Amy", I said to the woman I saw over the counter, "Amy has gone home, she left quite early today", She replied, "what happened?", I asked, "she didn't seem happy, she said she needed to go home and clear her head", the woman replied, "ok", I said and walked outside.
Things just got quite easier,

I picked up my phone and called, she refused to pic, I called again severally all to no avail, so I got back in my car about to start the engine, when I received a text, "I don't want talk now", a message from Amy.
When you work with the police their certain perks you get, one of which is a tracking device,

I drove to Amy's apartment,
I met with the receptionist, an old ugly lady, "excuse me, please am looking for Amy", I said to her, "so!", she replied, "what room is she?", I asked, "why should I tell you?", she asked,

and I have lots of that, but.....I don't like her tone.
"Detective Rich lapd", I said holding my badge up, and dropping my gun on the desk before her, "room 14!!", she replied immediately shaking, "always wanting it the hard way", I said and walked up the stairs and finally located room 14, I knocked, "go away", I heard Amy cry aloud, "Lapd!", I said aloud, "police!!!!", I heard her say aloud shocked, "ummm yeah! open up immediately", I added and giggled silently, "oh my God!", I heard her panick,

Just as I stood there wondering, I received a call from one of our autopsy specialist Rachael,
Rachael,
a slim nerdy lady,
Who was mad over the colour red,
So much so she dyed her hair red,
And also the first person and probably only person apart from my ex boss I get along with at work,
Also because she shared the same name with my grand aunt.
, "Rich?", she said, "yes?", I replied, "we just found out that the victim was poisoned, and to poison was found in the coffee in the living room, the victim seemed to have taken a sip of the coffee before dying", Rachael said, "sh_t!", I exclaimed, "thanks Rachael, I got to go!", I said and ended the call immediately, "Amy!!", I called aloud no response, "Amy!!!", I called again no response so I rammed the door until it broke and I got in, the window was wide open, and her bedsheet was tied to the window frame, she obviously used it to escape, I looked out and saw her hurriedly searching for her car's key, so I ran down.
Before I could get down she had already started her engine so, I quickly ran to my car and began the chase,
I for some reason don't like calling for back up especially when it involves women,
I tailed Amy until she got to a dead end she clearly wasn't caught out for this, but why, what was her motive, "step out of the car!!", I said immediately as I got down from my car, I refused to pull out my gun, "OK", she said sobbing as she stepped out of the car with her hands in the air, "why?", I asked, "I didn't intend to kill Jerry, I just wanted Amber out of his life and him to myself ", she said, "why would you want that?", I asked confused, "because I love him, I couldn't stand the love of my life continuously have s_x with another woman, so I made a potion for erectile disfunction and put it in his coffee, when he ordered, but he stopped ordering for coffee, I guess he was having enough sleep since he wasn't having s_x at night, but I needed to make him fall in love with me, unforntunately I couldn't find any portion that could accurately cause that, the ones I sent he refused to take them undermining the medium in which I sent them through , I bet amber doesn't even know that he loved pizza, all I wanted was to take away the distraction and comfort him but unfortunately he drank it", she confessed and continued crying,

"why go this length for that clown!!!?, why him?", I questioned again, "We date in high school, he travelled out for college and came back to town with a wife and a kid telling me he was sorry, how could he do such a thing knowing that I still love him", she added still crying.

"what about the pizza guy?", I asked, "you mean Can!, he has nothing to do with this, he is a close friend of mine, he's a part time footballer, he helped deliver pizza to jerry for s_x, he is a really shy guy", she explain, "oh....so that's why he was running he didn't want to explain the reason for his delivery", I said in a low tone, "that sounds like a confession, you are under arrest then for the killing of Jerry Miller, put your hands behind your back", I said she did and I cuffed her, "in my car!!", I said and hit her a_s.
I drove to the station and walked straight to Magnus's office, badged in with Amy in cuffs, "there's your killer", I said and walked out slamming the door behind me.
I drove straight to a bar owned by a friend of mine where I could get down with one of the strippers or some thing, I arrived at there in less than half an hour, "the usual please", I said to my friend Marcus the bartender, as I watched a really hot stripper go down on the pole, "hey Marcus, where did you get this goddess from", I said to him, "I didn't.....she volunteered", He replied, "what! girls volunteer to strip.....the world is taking a really good turn", I said to him as I continued watching her dance.
My phone began to ring, I picked it up, an unknown number, "Hello.....Rich", I heard a female say with tears in her voice, "yes?", I replied, "it's Amber", she said, "Amber!!!, I just apprehended your husband's killer and she's going to serve the punishment she deserves I guarantee you that", I said to her, "my son's dead", she said sobbing, "what!!!", I replied in shock, "Matthew is dead", she added still sobbing.....
How heart breaking?
