"It's in my room, " Freda responded swiftly. "Before Benard got into trouble, he had it with him all the time. I discovered it when I was changing his clothes in the hospital. I was worried it might be lost, so I kept it in my cabinet."
"D_mn. I only remember it now." Carla patted her head. "I should have thought of it sooner."
"What?" Freda was stunned momentarily before coming to a realization. "Do you mean Derilo is after the prescription?"
"She has been treating Zayn for over twenty days now, but she has not sent him back yet. I bet she ran into some complications in the treatment. Dr. Feroma's prescription might be the key. So maybe she is looking for it, " Carla predicted.
"Then, I will return the prescription to Benard tonight, " Freda said. "You said that she will come these few days, right?"
"Yes." Carla nodded. "Alpha has not yet recovered. I'm sure Derilo will come."
"Great. We still have a chance then." Freda felt relieved. "I've received Charles's location. His men are sending Josh back to Northridge. They are still within Yavawi."
"Please drive faster then."
"Okay."
As dawn approached, Carla met Charles's subordinate at the border of Yavawi and Aymo City.
Josh had fallen asleep due to shock and some injuries.
Carla's heart twitched in pain seeing Josh's wounds. She hugged him tightly as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Ms. Lierger, we've checked his body. He caught a cold and is having a high fever. And there are some small wounds on him. Everything else is fine, but still, we need to send him to the hospital as soon as possible, " the bodyguard reported.
"Ask Ellen to get ready. We are going back now, " Carla instructed Freda.
"Okay." After making a call to Ellen, Freda turned to Carla. "Ms. Lierger, Dr. Solova said she is not an expert in treating children. We should call Dr. Goman."
"I'm afraid Naya might not be available at this hour."
Carla hesitated but eventually called Naya.
The call got through quickly. "Ms. Lierger?"
"Naya, we have just rescued Josh. He has a fever. Could you please come over and take a look? Is it convenient for you?" Carla bit her lips and asked.
"Is Josh back? That's great." Naya was overjoyed. "I've been worrying about this these few days. Unfortunately, I couldn't help much as I was under surveillance. However, there should be no problem for me to treat him. Where are you guys now?"
"On the way back to Northridge…"
"I'll be there in an hour. Please describe his symptoms for me then."
"Okay."
When Carla brought Josh back to Northridge, Naya had waited there for quite a while. Upon seeing their car, she ran out of the forest with the medical kit in her hand. "Ms. Lierger!"
"Dr. Goman…" Freda opened the car and let Naya in.
Right away, Naya opened her medical kit and checked Josh. "It is not a big deal. It is just fever and some small wounds. We will do other tests after we reach home."
"Okay. Thanks a lot." Carla felt a little guilty after seeing Naya slimmed down a lot. "You came here secretly, right? If they find out, it will be big trouble for you."
"Don't bother about that. The priority is Josh, " Naya uttered. "Brandy is being locked up now. If I don't help out, you will be alone."
"Thank you!" Carla was extremely grateful.
"Don't sweat it. We are family, " Naya asked anxiously, "by the way, where's Randy?"
"We have not rescued her yet…" Carla's heart twitched in pain. "We only managed to rescue Josh."
