"Lucas!" called Carl. Lucas quickly released Carla and said reluctantly, "I have to leave now, Carla. I'll visit you later!"

He was involved in developing many of Divine Corporation's technological products. Apparently, he has some patents for his inventions too. Just by himself, he earns hundreds of millions every year!"
"That's impressive! The Giblo family should keep him as their heir instead. Why were they willing to let him go?" Carl frowned as a complex look flashed across his eyes.
He continued, "Daemon doesn't have a child. Does he want to keep that child and let him inherit the Lierger Corporation? Wait, but if he does that, won't the Lierger Corporation be part of the Giblo family, then? Daemon will never do that."
"Daddy, why are you saying that?" Lucas was confused. "What does that have to do with us?"
"You know nothing!" growled Carl. "If we bring that child into the royal family, who knows what trouble he'll cause? Also, do you think that Zayn will just give up like this? He might confront us to get his son back. If that happens, the royal family will be utterly humiliated."
"H-How…?"
"Forget it. You won't understand even if I explain it to you." Carl could not be bothered to continue talking to him. "I'll deal with this."

"What are you thinking about?" Carl interrupted him, "How can I possibly harm that child? I just want to find out what Daemon's plans are. If he doesn't mind where the child goes, it's better to let Zayn reclaim him. This is good for both you and the Lierger family."
"But Carla will be sad if her child isn't by her side." Lucas still felt worried.
"Then, she can keep the girl." Carl had thought it through. "The girl looks harmless and innocent. She won't pose a threat in the future."
"Venus is very adorable, but we should still respect Carla's opinions…"
