"Good to know that she's well." Lucas didn't overthink it.
However, Carl's expression turned grim after he witnessed it.
"Good morning, Sir Carl, " Randy greeted Carl.
Carl immediately responded smilingly, "Good morning! Does your sister feel well?"
"She feels a lot better now. Thank you, Sir Carl, " Randy said politely.
"That's good to hear, " Carl nodded and said. "By the way, you speak Ferropenian fluently. Who taught you to speak the language?"
"My great-grandpa used to hire a Ferropenian teacher to teach me, " Randy answered honestly, "I learned it since I was three and a half years old. So, I can converse in the language in simple daily conversations."
"Is your great-grandpa Mr. Jombo?"
Carl knew that Jombo was a prominent figure in business and only retired when he was 80. Besides, he trained Zayn to become the new corporate czar.
"Yes, " Randy replied noddingly.
Carl glanced at Randy for a while before he said, "No wonder you're already outstanding at such a young age. I met your father when he was young and knew that he would be a genius. Nonetheless, I think you're even more outstanding than him."
"Daddy used to say that Sir Lucas is his only friend while Sir Carl is his most-respected elder, " Randy put on a smile and said casually, "I never thought that the first time I meet you would be in Uncle Dan's house instead of the Giblo residence!"
Carl was stunned upon hearing it. A few seconds later, he calmed down and added, "Your dad focuses on growing his business in the local market in recent years, and so there aren't many opportunities for us to collaborate. Instead, your uncle has expanded his market in F Nation and established close ties with us—"
He paused for a while and said, "This topic is too deep, and I'm afraid you don't get what I mean."
"The local market is huge enough for the Giblo family to continue growing for decades, " Randy said, "but still, the market in F Nation is not bad—"
"Do you understand business?"
Carl was shocked to hear a six-year-old kid talking about business casually. Although Randy sounded courteous, one could somehow sense there were some insinuations in his words.
This kid is very impressive.
Randy replied with a smile on his face, "I always helped Daddy review his files when he was busy. That's why I understand a bit of business. However, I'm still a kid and don't know much about it."
"You're too humble." Carl flashed him a smile.
"Sir Carl, Lucas, " Just then, Carla came downstairs hastily and said, "I'm sorry for being late."
Carl smiled warmly at Carla. "It's fine. After all, we didn't inform you in advance. We're here because we heard that your child fell sick yesterday."
With that, Carl gestured for his subordinate to hand over some beautiful gifts to Carla.
"Sir Carl, you're very kind, " Carla thanked him immediately.
Freda took a few steps back after taking the gifts.
"Sir Carl, would you like to have breakfast together?" Carla invited them.
"Well, don't mind if I do."
The maids served them breakfast as soon as they sat at the dining table.
A moment later, all of them began enjoying the variety of food.
While having breakfast, Lucas also enjoyed chatting with Carla.
Meanwhile, Randy concentrated on having his food gracefully.
After a while, Carl said casually, "Well, you'll have to get used to having F Nation's food when you're there. Besides, the food in F Nation is scrumptious. I'll invite you to try our food next time."
Randy replied respectfully, "Thank you, Sir Carl. However, I prefer Chanaean food more."
Carl frowned upon hearing it. As he wanted to say something, Carla added smilingly, "Well, I love Chanaean food as well."
"Me too, " Lucas chimed in, "I've looked for several excellent Chanaean chefs and planned to bring them to Pillere to prepare Chanaean food for you."
