Bugara didn't dare to speed up because Venus was ill. So they were late by three minutes.
Freda waited at the entrance to the courtyard with dozens of female bodyguards, all armed with guns and looking vicious.
"What a fierce bunch of women." Brandy couldn't help but feel impressed.
"Don't mess with them. They're quite touchy, " Bugara silently warned.
As soon as he spoke, an eagle's cry was heard, and Dori jumped out of the car window and landed on the back of Carla's hands.
"Mommy!" Josh stuck his head out of the car window, waving excitedly at Carla.
"Josh!" Carla immediately welcomed him.
Brandy helped Randy and Josh out of the car as soon as the car stopped, and Josh leaped into Carla's arms, tightly hugging her by the neck all choked up, and said, "Mommy, I thought it would take forever for me to see you again. I didn't expect it to be so soon."
"Are you happy to see Mommy?" Carla asked while holding his tiny face.
"Yes!" Josh nodded repeatedly.
"That's great." Carla kissed his chubby cheek.
"Mommy!" Randy ran over and wanted to hug his mom and let his mom kiss him, but his cold personality stopped him from doing so. Thus, he only watched from a distance.
"Randy." Carla hugged him and kissed him on the forehead. "Mommy told you, we will meet again very soon, right?"
"Yeah." Randy blushed and nodded, then hugged Carla's neck and said, "Mommy, I hope we will always be together."
"We will. Mommy will never leave you again." Carla patted Randy's back. "Good boy!"
"Mommy…" Venus whispered in a hoarse voice and extended her thin arms toward Carla.
Carla quickly rushed over to Venus and hugged her. After suffering from the poison, Venus had lost a lot of weight and still couldn't walk. She had to either lay in bed or sit in a wheelchair every single day, and she had no energy to speak.
Looking at her, Carla was devastated.
"Venus, I will get Dr. Feroma. He will definitely fix you up." Carla gently stroked Venus's hair. "Once you recover, Mommy will take you to Disneyland."
"Okay. Thanks, Mommy." Venus buried her face in Carla's arms like a baby.
"Good girl! Mommy will carry you into the house."
Carla picked up Venus and walked into the house. She spoke to the kids without looking at Zayn. "Randy, Josh, Venus. Mommy will take you to Dr. Feroma. He's a good friend of Grandpa and also an outstanding doctor. Remember to behave yourselves, understood?"
"Understood!"
Zayn looked at Carla from the back, feeling lost. He used to be high and mighty in front of her, and now it's the other way around…
This must be retribution!
"Mr. Zayn, we're being ignored. Should we go in?" Brandy asked silently.
"Nonsense." Zayn glared at him and walked into the house.
Freda's group didn't stop them but didn't greet them either.
Zayn shamelessly sat on the sofa and poured himself a cup of tea.
Brandy and Bugara stood behind him, awkwardly rubbing their noses, feeling uncomfortable.
"Bugara!" Suddenly, a familiar voice was heard.
Bugara turned around and responded. "Why are you here? Aren't you at the hospital?"
"Ms. Lierger said that I will recover faster if Dr. Feroma treats me. So she sent someone to pick me up, " said Rogan with a smile.
"Ms. Lierger is so kind to you."
"Of course she is. Otherwise, I wouldn't be so loyal to her." When Rogan mentioned Carla's name, her face was brimming with admiration. She glanced at Zayn and asked softly, "You sent the children back, right? Why is nobody attending to you?"
"Oh, don't mention it." Bugara didn't want to say more.
