On hearing this, the were all shocked.
They brought their phones out to check, search for official social media account of the Axel Group!
And truly it was!
The official social media account of the Axel Group had posted about it!
After bowing several times, Aaron's eyes were swimming in tears, but he dared not do anything otherwise.
He knew disappointed Mrs. Bromwick was at him, and for that reason, he shouldn't make matters worse.
Mrs. Bromwick, Aaron's grandmother heaved a sigh of relief, on seeing her grandson bowing to Chris and admitting defeat.
She wished not that her beloved grandson, Aaron, bow at the useless Chris's feet, but the bet had been made and happened to involve her.
She was very devoted to her Buddha. If Aaron were to go against promise, she certainly would be scared that karma might come at her, so much so that she won't be able to sleep.
And so she watched Aaron continue his bows, "Aaron, make sure you learn a lesson from these bows. The next time you make a bet, make sure you are sure about your win, and don't involve your family members in it!", Mrs. Bromwick said.
Aaron put up a pouty face, "I have learnt my lesson grandma. I won't do it again", Aaron said.
While he spoke, he looked at Chris viscously.
'You b_stard! Who are you to force me to kneel before you and kiss your feet. You humiliate me before my family today, but I swear, I'll definitely get back at you!', Aaron thought in his heart.
"It is a wonderful day today, Nora won the contract. Let's begin our preparation, this is an opportunity to create a strong bond with Axel Group!", Mrs. Bromwick.
"Grandma, now that Nora has successfully struck the deal, isn't it time you annouce her as the director of the company as you promised?", Chris reminded.
But Nora was never her favourite. And her useless husband Chris, she found irritating. She began to ponder in her heart.
What happens when Nora gets in this position of such hieght and loses control? What then would she do?
In that moment, she wanted to take back what she promised. After all, she had not sworn an oath during the proclamation of the promise, so she wouldn't be too bothered for taking it back.

"Thomasorrow at night, we are going to host a banquet, and invited guests will be prominent and influential people in the Hillsprings, we are going to part. There, I'll annouce officially, our collaboration with the Emgrad Group as well as appoint our new director!", She said to the hearing of all.
On hearing this, Chris was pleased, he smiled, reassured that his wife was going to be the director of the Bromwick family. She would no longer be looked down on and discriminated, and so will her parents. They will stand tall and proud!
Mrs. Bromwick then turned to Nora, "Nora, you are going to do something for me", she said, "yes grandma, what is it?", Nora asked.
"You are going to contact the new chairman of the Axel Group, and invite him to attend the banquet as well", Mrs. Bromwick replied.
On saying this, silence reigned for a moment.
"If he attends, it will be a big boost to our family's status! And will definitely skyrocket us into fame!", Mrs. Bromwick added.
Nora was speechless for a while, she knew not what to say, "But... I haven't seen the chairman, Miss yong, the vice-chairman was the only one I met... And also, don't you think it's a little too sudden, we literally just got the contract.
"So what? I want all in Hillsprings to know that we now have connection with the Axel Group. We are soon going to be very successful and rich!", Mrs. Bromwick said.
"And if their chairman doesn't want to come, you can invite Stella Yong instead, it'll have same effect, for she's next to the chairman. The vice-chairman of the Axel Group, she would also make an honorable guest in the banquet", Mrs. Bromwick added.
Just the mere thought of it, made Mrs. Bromwick excited. She felt hot blood pumping around her body. All those big companies and families, who in time past have discriminated the Bromwick family, would have to be humble themselves during the banquet.
Nora who had been thinking quietly finally opened her mouth to speak. "Okay grandma, I understand and Will try...", Nora replied.
"I didn't say try! You must!", Mrs. Bromwick added.
Nora reluctantly nodded and immediately but softly turned to Chris, "what do I do now? What happens when the chairman refuses to attend? What if Stella Young doesn't want to come too?", Nora whispered in the ears of Chris.
Demonstrating the strength or the Bromwick family wasn't the only reason for the banquet, but also to annouce the promotion of his wife, Nora as the director. And as her husband it would be a thing of joy to support his wife as she celebrates her promotion.
Nora at this time, was still unaware that her husband, Chris was the chairman of the Axel Group. She played with her fingers anxiously.
"The chairman of the Axel Group.... I heard he is a young man from an extremely rich family in the Cliffspring. Such a person must be very busy doing his daily business, how is he doing to spare the time to attend some sudden banquet?", Nora replied.
On hearing this, Chris laughed, "who know? He could also be someone who spends his time at home with his wife everyday, cooking and doing the laundry!", Chairle said.
Chris simply rolled her eyes at him, "do you think everyone is like you", she teased.
Chris nodded still laughing, "who knows? Perhaps the chairman of the Axel Group is just like me...", Chris said smiling.
On hearing this, Nora snorted, pursing her lips, she looked at him, "Stop it! We both know that's impossible!", She replied.
